POLYMER ADDITIVES

At the present time, polymers are playing a very important role in human development since most of the objects and instruments use on a daily basis contain them.

Among the huge variety of existing polymers, the following are the most common:

POLYOLEFINS: Polypropylene, Polyethylene, TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefins)
STYRENICS: HIPS, ABS, EPS/XPS
ENGINEERING THERMOPLASTICS: PBT/PET, Polyamides, PC/ABS, Polycarbonate.
POLYURETHANE: Polyurethane Foam, TPU
PVC
THEMOSETS: Epoxy Resins, Phenolic Resins, Unsaturated Polyester Resins.

To assure the objects use (manufactured by polymers) for a reasonable time, and achieve an optimum cost-benefit, it is necessarily for the polymers to be formulated with additives. Additives increase the lifespan of a given object and protect if from wear and tear. For this reason, the companies we represent have developed a range of dedicated Polymer Additives.

LPQ Group offers the following Polymer Additives:

Flame Retardants, Antioxidants, UV Stabilizers, Lubricant Additives, Fire Retardant Hydraulic Fluids, Monomers for the manufacture of Synthetic Resins, Speciality Plasticisers for PVC and Rubber Chemicals.

We offer the following products, as well as the technical assistance for their application and to resolve any question that might present itself

1.- Flame Retardants:

Flame retardants block chemical reactions that are responsible for starting and fueling a fire.
This products division offers a broad range of brominates flame retardants, which are also complemented by our line of synergist that is based on antimony and a comprehensive line of phosphate esters.
These additives are found in such applications in Thermoplastics, Thermosets, Adhesives, Coating, Textiles, etc.

2.- Antioxidants / UV Stabilizers / Blends:

Polymer stabilizers maintain, modify or enhance the polymers performance.
This products division offers a broad range of phenolic antioxidants, secondary antioxidants, light absorbers, hindered amine light stabilizers and blend containing multiple additives.
These additives are found in such applications in Thermoplastics, Thermosets, Adhesives, Coating, etc.

3.- Speciality Plasticisers for PVC:

This products division offers a broad range of plasticisers for use in PVC and other polymeric materials where high quality and special properties are required.
These additives are found in:
Phosphates and Brominated phthalates, flame retardant plasticisers.
Alkyl Phosphates for improved low temperature PVC performance.
Polymerics for permanence properties in PVC and Elastomer formulations.
Sebacates and Adipates for low temperature performance.

4.- Monomers for the manufacture of synthetic resins:

This products division consists of RAV 7 line, a series of monomers derived from bis-(allylcarbonate) of diethyleneglycol for the manufacture of synthetic resins, mainly ophthalmic, corrective and solar lenses.

5.- Lubricant additives and Fire Retardant Hydraulic Fluids:

This products division consists of a broad range of Antiwear, Extreme Pressure and Antioxidant additives essential to enhance the performance characteristics of natural, semi-synthetic and synthetic lubricants.
These additives apply to such markets as: Electricity Generation, Steel and Aluminum Production, Mining, Aviation, Gas Pumping, etc.

6.- Rubber Chemicals:

This products division offers a variety of Antidegradants (antioxidants), Auxiliaries and Processing Promotors for rubber products.
